Friends Caring for Cowan Lake State Park is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit

Since Cowan Lake has been home to a pair of nesting American Bald Eagles since 2012, we will include this prop within the course. Cowan also is home to a few frog and turtle species, so we believe these two props also will be a great addition to the course decor.

The 9-holes are modular and portable. They are roughly 4 ft. x 10 ft. The course could potentially be moved to different event locations as long as a flat surface was available. 

Friends Caring for Cowan Lake would like to share a thank you to all, in helping and supporting our non-profit, and making this 9-hole miniature golf course become a reality for the year of 2024!

We also want to say a thank you to HealthFirst of Clinton County for the grant we received from them! Without the help from community donations through FCC events, and the HealthFirst of Clinton County grant this project wouldn't have been possible. Thank you all for your support and we can't wait to see you and your familes on the course soon! 

The location for the 9-hole miniature golf course is the site of the old playground, located beside the commissary. The playground was torn down at the end of the 2023 season because it had reached the end of its life span. The course is friendly for all ages and will reopen in the spring of 2025.

Miniature golf is officially back inside Cowan Lake State Park campground! Because of your generous donations and A HealthFirst for Clinton County grant, Friends Caring for Cowan Lake, was able to purchase a 9-hole modular course for the park. We are excited for the upcoming season and can't wait to share a new, fun, family friendly activity with all of our guests that come to Cowan Lake State Park.
